EVO, also known as the Implantable Collamer Lens, is a type of refractive procedure to help correct the most common visual problem, myopia.

It’s a treatment for keratoconus, a condition where the cornea (the clear window at the front of the eye) gets thin and cone-shaped, causing blurry vision. In CAIRS, small segments of human donor cornea tissue are placed into the patient’s cornea to help reshape and strengthen it.

The Procedure
Your Consultant will create a small opening at the edge of your cornea to insert the ICL.
The ICL is folded and inserted through this small opening.
Once the lens is inserted, your Consultant will make any necessary adjustments to ensure proper positioning in the eye. The lens is not visible to you or others.
